Canyon Springs Brochure, Logo, and Products Labels.
The purpose of this project was to develop a logo, design a brochure as well as product labels for a client being the "Canyon Springs Health Spa".  Canyon springs is located in the southwest of the United States. The design is intended to attract wealthy women and/or families looking for a luxurious and relaxing experience. I used the same color scheme throughout all development of each piece. Including: Peru orange, dark slate gray with a blue/green tint, and tan. This color scheme gives a sense of luxury while maintaining a south-western feel. The logo I created is a combination of both pectoral and logo type. The floral design based off of flora native to the Southwest. The artwork has curves and swirls to portray flow and relaxation that you feel at a spa. To maintain the luxurious feel for the brochure I used repetition of the same colors as used in the logo, as well as using different tints of these colors to add depth for design such as, for the background for text on the back, center, and final panels. I chose lifestyle focused images for this brochure to reinforce the message of the luxurious treatment received for visiting Canyon Springs Health Spa. Using photoshop I gave each image a tint of the dark slate gray to integrate them nicely into the brochure.  I also created extra graphics of the same linework used in the logo, using the flower leaf shape as well as the swirl lines to bring a sense of flow for the audience to see aspects of the logo on other pages as well. I place my graphics at top and bottom corners to create a symmetrical balance on the page. The logo type I used for the product names is Felix Tilting. I chose this type face because it differs front the type face used in the brochure and logo but gives the same clean, luxurious feel. I chose to make the type of the dark slate gray color from my color scheme to create unity and repetition with the color. I also chose to have all of the information of the label centered to create a flow straight down the middle and give the audience a sense of the hierarchy of the information on the label.
